The South London Baseball Association was founded on September 2, 1980 as an amalgamation of the Cleardale, White Oaks and Westminster Park baseball leagues. SLBA was created to govern and promote baseball activities for the age divisions of: Tyke (7-10), Peewee (11-12), Bantam (13-14) and Midget (15-16).The founding members of the association were:
President: Stan Latawiec
Treasurer: Bob Shaw
Secretary: Marty Collier
In the early 1980s, programs were expanded to include 5 and 6 and 17 to 21 year old boys. Additionally, the league created an all girls fastball program that encompassed all age divisions (5-21).
Today, our programs remain strong and vibrant. The current administration has introduced new partnerships with Softball Ontario, Baseball Ontario and numerous provincial health initiatives including ParticipAction and In-Motion.
